This has been an alright week, althouguh this week was sort of begun with a meltdown in that I had no hope within myself in getting an assignment done but then I think somewhere along the week, when I think I actually sat down and started thinking about things, I had hope again. Now, if only I can sit down for long enough to get it completed before Friday!

But, yeah, I hope to get it done by Thursday night :) and what's coming up is another little reunion (I'm guessing...) of high school people for one of my oldest friend's farewell party. Kind of excited about that. ^^

Another thing that I am also excited about is my 21st!!! I have finally secured a venue for it and one that is affordable and well just affordable! Hehe. :D I haven't actually seen it but from the (few) pictures that I have seen, it looks good. I'm excited about seeing everyone and just having a good time and catchup and also pretty much having everyone that I love and care about under the same roof, that's awesome too :)

And, this has actually been a pretty long entry! I haven't done one of those in a long time... :| But other than, will get back to my assignment and hoping that everyone is doing good and such~ ^^

And in other news, the taupo trip was aweosme. I loved it. My first time being out of Auckland. Although I was just infored a couple of weeks ago that I have indeed been to the Coromandel when I was little but I guess I don't really remember. So, guess if you don't remember, it doesn't really count?

Anyways. One more week left of the holidays! T_T Nooooo. :( It's sad. This past week has just mainly been spent at home in the beginning of the week and with the boyfriend and some friends and the like.

The next week isn't much different other than that it will be the last week and have a few things that I want to get done before the end of the holidays that I wanted to do during this time. :)

So. Exams are over and I am officially on break! YUS!~ =D

Nothing much planned other than Taupo =) and heaaaaps of sleeep (not that I don't already get enough during the semester~ ;))

And not much of a "meaningful" post other than that I wanted to let you know of those small insignficant things..oh, and will be away till end of next week just in case you were wondering why I wasn't updating :)

Three Week Break/Hiatus/Hibernation...

Well. It has been forever since I've updated and this is all due to having too litte time in the day for other things other than uni, uni and more uni! u_u

Just thought that would update you all (which there is next to nothing to update.... other than the occasional going-out that is worth mentioning but of course no time to~ not that it's particularly great or anything..) and put this blog on a break/hiatus/hibernation....

To sum it up, all I have been doing is a lot of uni work =( it's depressing. Sigh~

Hope everyone is good. Everything is good on my end.... other than the neverending work, assignments and study that needs to be done.

But, anyways, see you all in three weeks~ :)

I May Be Living in The Past, But It's A Damn Good Past!

So, as of late (or this past year, to be more precise, I think), I have been reminscing and thinking a lot about the past 2-3 years of my life, in particular 2006..

2006 was my last high school year and omg, I miss it so damn much! I just miss those after school days in which it was spent with friends doing absoultely nothing but hanging around and enjoying each other's company...  outside supermarkets on the couches... at lush green-grassed parks and domains... at each other's houses karaoking.... and just general random drives and late night beach visits~

My heart is so aching for those days again. Oh, how I would just give anything for those days to be incorporated into my current everyday life of just uni, uni and more uni.... =_=

*sigh* Miss it so much. And now hardly see or talk to those friends much with excepton to one if he wasn't overseas atm.... but yeah, I thought that since I was thinking about and "living" in the past so much, thought that I would write about and hopefully it would all be written down and not forget about it but just... I dunno...

To me, those were the best days  of my life and were the beginning of everything... if I didn't have those days, then I don't think I would be where I am now... I'm extremely (and possibly completely..) happy now but it's just those little bits of friendship that is missing.. I have awesome friends now but... well, of course it's not the same....

I'm happy and content with my life :) boyfriend. new friends. experiences. life. It's good. Just missing the past.....

This week I am thankful for....

1. Boyfriend (I am thinking he's going to be regular mention but....) - for being there when I am sick and in general. <3
2. Finishing assignments in the nick of time
3. (continue from above) catching up on sleep while I am sick so I was able to survive this day on next-to-no sleep! :o and with NO V-help too! (it was ready and waiting but not needed!! Amazing~~) amazing what a whole days or two sleep can do!
4. Of course, that feeling you get when you complete work!
5. Awesome and aww-worthy txt messages from boyfriend! ♥

Next thing.... Fast and Furious movie... whose seen it and is absoutely (or pretty much..) in love with it!? I am... so much in fact that I saw it twice! LOL. Dedication right here..... heh. XD

Busyness and Grace In Small Things #3

I haven't had the time to update in the past week due to overload of assignments and everything during the first week back.. not to mention a little lack of motivation and also not sure what to write about other than my life....

I'm still not really on top of everything but I must say that this semester has seen me been semi-on top of my workload and getting assignments and work done on time.. not sure if it is due to my boyf making me do work in his own special way but... I think it's work and/or his good work habits are brushing off on me! =)

So, yeah just thought would update and mention what's happening in my life, which is not much.. if it's not this I'm doing, it's that. Not very exciting.

There has actually been a  few topics that I want to talk about but... well, I lose my motivation when I actually get on a computer.. so that just fails.

So, one of the blogs that I follow does this and I have been meaning to do/start it for quite sometime but my procrastination and laziness kicks in and I just leave it and/or am too lazy to do so. But after having such a great week, I thought that I should and yeah~ =]

Also, another blog I follow does something similar to this as well. Instead of acknowleding and noticing/embracing the good things that has happened, it is things that she loves and... I just realized it's pretty much the same. So, I guess without any further ado~

3x Thursday: Thursday's Meme

Well.. atm it's 1.05 am and I am a little tired and should be sleeping within the next hour or so but am kind of awake coz of a afternoon nap that I took coz only had 3-4 hours sleep the previous night -.-

So yeah, I think that answers the question of it is a good, bad or indifferent day.. and why..

2. What are you up to/what have you done so far today?

Today, being Thursday early morning, I have done nothing other than spend the one hour that is Thursday just online and attempting work... =_=

But. My Wednesday wasn't too bad, spent some time with the bf and picked up an item that I won on Trademe (post-it notes dispenser! ^^) and then um, well not much actually.... attempted study/work on assignment but the most that I have done is um, the outline/template of it.. ~_~

My plans for Thursday evening.... no. Nothing planned other than the usual of when I am at home.. which is pretty much nothing. I do, however have plans to have done a majority of my Event Planning assignment! Let's see what happens.....

The Edge Morning Madhouse April Fool's Day Prank~

The best April Fool's Day prank I have heard and seen/listened to was this morning's April Fool's joke that was pulled by The Edge Morning Madhouse. That was really awesome. I probably would have fallen for it.... if I earned more than like $50,000 I think it was? Yeah. It actually felt like a dream..... could have been because it was kind of early in the morning..... but yeah. Awesome stuff ^_^
So. Pretty much, a summary of it is that they played an ad that said that if you earned more than (I think) $50,000 then you'd be entitled to $5,000 directly credited to your bank account by the Inland Revenue. There was a 0800 line set up and the calls that came in was great~~

Calls were also made to Inland Revenue!! But yeah, if you heard it this morning, then you would know what I'm talking about and know how pretty great it was~ :)

But yes, I just got home from watching Confessions of A Shopaholic with my friend. It was good and quite funny. I love Isla Fisher! She is so cute and adorable but that scene where she is trying to retrieve the letter that she accidentally sent to Aletta or something.. that was soo painful to watch! >.<

But I think overall it was a good movie! Awesome chick flick definitely!

And I have actually been thinking of like doing reviews of movies that I see.... coz I have kind of seen quite a few movies lately and actually having an opinion! Haha.. XD

But, anyways updates, updates... not much... nothing exciting has been happening much in my life.. it's just been uni, uni and more uni with the occasional sociality~ but not much coz I have been poor (up till recently..) and quite busy....

Oooh, what has been exciting is that I AM OUT OF OVERDRAFT!! ^^ YAY! I actually have MONEY in my account hehe. That's nice ;) And.. that's about it really.

Oooh I met up with some old friends from high school that I haven't seen in like AGES!! (One year to be exact) and that was very awesome. Omg... the conversation topics have like changed soo much and quite a few of my friends from high school are getting married and like just living life! Life is happening and er, yeah.. it's kind of exciting yet scary at the same time.. ><

I think there was something that I was to mention.. that I wanted to mention but I have forgotten it... -__-

Well. That's all. Oh! I attended a wedding ceremony of my Dad's family friend last weekend and it was, I thikn my first wedding ceremony that I've attended.. that I've remembered? But yeah, it was nice... so nice that I nearly cried!? >< I stopped myself though... but yeah... I guess I have reached that part of my life...... or I'm getting old =_= lol..

But anyways, to end this entry (that is very delayed), carrying on from the theme from the rest of the day, I will be going out with some more friends from high school and I'm just really looking forward to catching up with them and maybe also drinking (:P) and going out.. as I haven't gone out in SO long! But yeah.. :)

This past (and also this coming weekend, Saturday) has been quite the social butterfly going out regularly.... in the city... oh, so sucks that I'm not living there anymore. Gonna miss it.

Which speaking of which, this weekend have organised cleaning.... really gonna miss it! Oh well. The close of one door leads to an opening of another~ =]

This past week included.... a kareoke trip (so awesome! I <3 kareoke!!! :D), Blush (finally went after hearing bout it most of last year but not knowing where it is haha~ it's a nice cozy and really red-themed place) and pool (I suck! lol >.<) :] okay, so it doesn't look like much but then add on my 2 hours(!) work each day (lol), it is going into the city everyday and.... living life? :D

Yeah, lately life has been good.... especially yesterday! I applied for a job someplace and got an email/txt saying to call them... so yeah, excited~! Also, quite excited about an upcoming concert in..... THREE DAYS! Omg Omg Omg. Hehe ^^ Though I've already seen em the last time they came, doesn't stop my excitement~ excited to also see Hey Monday and All-American Rejects live!! :D :D :D :D YAYYYYYY! ^_^

And then EIGHT DAYS after that Fall Out Boy Concert, it's The Veronicas!!!! :D Excitedddd... but haven't gotten my ticket yet.... lol.. I got the FOB tickets from Trademe for $50! (RRP is $82.50! Save $40!! :D)..... I actually don't have any money (and when has that stopped me from spending! xP) but will be getting heaps from leftover apartment funds and stuff, so that should be good and that will definitely boost my income... ish.

Though. However. Atm I am not getting Student Allowance! Because I think I don't study enough papers (only doing three papers each semester this year....)... OR maybe I think it is due to my second double major papers not being approved yet... hopefully that's it coz.... well it would suck.. >.<

Anyways. Then after The Veronicas concert the following Tuesday (3rd March), a couple of weeks afterward it's The Fray!! :D With Secondhand Serenade! :O I can't wait... but yeah, I haven't gotten tickets to those yet and don't have anybody to go with to The Fray.....

So. When 24th Feb rolls around, I will no longer be a tenant of an apartment in the city.... kinda sad... an end of an era? I realized that in the past 3 years of my life, I have always living in a different home and been close to school or uni..
2006- At home, just down the road.
2007- Hostels, only a few minutes walk away~
2008- City apartment. 10-15 minutes away dependant on my speed.
So yeah... I've been lucky and well, maybe not that grateful of my situations and been taking it for granted, thinking that it will always be like that.. I have definitely learned a lot in those past 3 years.... and I don't regret anything that happened or the decisions I made. After all, everything happens for a reason :)

And my friend, which I think happens to be one of my closest and semi-longest friends, mentioned that this year would be a good year for me and I don't think I really believed him but now.... after a month of being back from China (and spending/ringing in the New Year in another country), I think this will be a good year..

- Found awesome new friends that have made me social and like just accepted me into their group~ it's good, you know who you are if you happen to be reading this ^^
- Spent the New Year in another country~ =D
- Got a job... been working reguarly/everyday since I came back!
- Maybe getting a second weekend job! :)
- And have the most awesome and greatest friends ever who when I hang out with and talk to, nothing has changed! And also specially with the rediscovering of old ones that I thought that would never speak to again...... ^.^

That is pretty much it. And also STILL gotta post about my China&HK trip... I so fail.. -___- it's nearly been a month since my return! D: I really do fail! Lol. That other time that I wanted to.... Photobucket was being a pain and wasn't working and so I pretty much lost my will to do so.. and this is a long enough post and so I will end it now.

Yeah, I actually had the idea of posting a love/Valentine's Day related entry coinciding with Valentine's Day and.... well, I never quite got round to planning that out.

Actually, I forgot what I wanted to write about. I make it a point not to post anything related to that part of my life or possibly anything related to that.. for some reason.

But, anyways, H A P P Y V A L E N T I N E ' S D A Y ! Hope you all had/have a great Valentine's Day :)

My February 14th has gone and passed. Nearly 'officially' over, really with three minutes on the clock but yeah.... it was a good day and just another day really. Nothing out of the ordinary or special~

Was going to be spent with some old friends but it didn't happen coz people were busy. Oh well.

I had a great night last night and part of this day was spent getting my 8 hours of 'zzzz's' :P And then better half was spent furniture shopping with sister and mum. :)

- and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place, Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason.

He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers;

Oh I am so innocent... naive or well, stupid to believe that it was the end... hmmm...

On another note, I really enjoyed 27 Dresses. It was a really good movie that I really enjoyed~ ^^

Another movie that I enjoyed was Twilight... I didn't have much expectations of it coz I hadn't read any of the Twilight books or really knew much of it other than it was a story about Vampires.. but when I was overseas, I suggested it to my cousin and she looked it up and we watched it... I think she really liked the storyline.. but yeah, I liked it and thought it was just my kind of movie~ haha..

So, yeah now I own Gossip Girl S2.... uncomplete..... =| Oh well, what's done is done.. I'm sure I'm not the first to have done this... maybe...

1. I only wear jeans (winter), skirts and dresses (summer). Never shorts (apart from maybe on the odd occasion where I have to wear shorts (i.e. PE in school and.... that's about it. So, now, pretty much zero chance of seeing me in shorts).
2. I love all things cute (as you may or may not already know)....
3. and so that is why I love China and HK (home of the cuteness!)
4. I think I am finally embracing/recognizing my 'Asian' side.... (friends, photo-taking etc)
5. I plan to travel back to China for CNY next year. (if my finances agree)

9. Music is the best thing invented. It makes me feel better and would not be able to live without it!
10. No matter how much I tidy/clean... it always ends up messy and untidy again. But most of the time I know where to find stuff!
11. I love jewellery in particular necklaces, bracelets and earrings. =)
12. I am able to listen, on repeat, to a song for a very long time and not get sick of it.. until I do.... or find a new song to put on repeat.
13. I suck with technology... -__- Owned 3 iPods in the past 4 years, 2 laptops and 4 mobile phones.
14. I am beginning to like Chinese music.... even though I have no idea what they are singing.... even if it's in Cantonese =_=
15. Careers that I have thought about (and some I am still considering) in the past 20 years of my life include; makeup artist, wedding planner, magazine editor and probably others that I have forgotten.
16. I think I still have the first stuffed animal that I got around the time when I was born.. (it's a rabbit...)

18. I owned a pet rabbit for a grand total of 1-2 months.. (it ran away... cough cough >.<)
19. The first concert I went to was YellowCard and Steriogram back in 2004.

21. I am very lazy and procrastinate like there's no tomorrow (thanks Chloe, I stole it off you :P)
22. I may, at the moment be obsessed with the Twilight movie....... >_>
23. I love quotes. Some quotes just sum up my life and/or current life situation I am in.
24. Purchased in China and Hong Kong a Bugs Bunny bolster and Ladybug Neck Pillow (random.......)
25. And, finally, my friends mean the world to me.. I would do almost anything for them... (5 am pickups!? ^^) <3333
