2008/2009 Overview

This Is Just Not Going To Work! =(

I applied for a job at SJS and I got the employer details just now and had a read through of the position description (turns out its actually, I think a part of Auckland Uni ahaha... Maidment Theatre~) and it mentioned the Application Process:

• Wednesday 14th January – Final date for applications
• Tuesday 20th January – Interview process begins
• Friday 23rd January – Successful applicants are notified
• Wednesday 28th January – Box Office training begins
• Wednesday 11th February – Box Office training concludes
• Thursday 12th February – The 2009 Performance Season commences

And I just finished watching the last episode of Gossip Girl for Season 2 (or for the year) and omgggg Desireee was riggght! I pretty much loved it! And OMG at Rufus and Lily having a child!!!!! >_< I did NOT expect that! And it would have been an awesome ending, I think after Dan confesses his love and asks Serena not to go with Aaron.. and aww the scene where Chuck is in Blair's room and she hugs him is awesome as well! So sweet! >.< But sigh~ when he leaves her.... :(

I think I have grown to love Blair and Chuck. I thought that Chuck was pretty urgh to begin with in this episode.. but he redeemed himself in the end~

But omg. The season or episode cliffhanger..... Rufus and Lily's baby! :o It also reminds me of 90210 and how it ended on the last episode played... with the illegitimate child moving in and I couldn't help but think back to that episode..... of how Naomi and Annie first met their stepbrother and now how (wonder how they're going to play it.....) Dan and Serena and Jenny and Eric find out that they are actually linked!

It's going to be gooood! n_n

Oh, and something else I'll mention.... I think I have officially become a part of the Bubble Tea Fan Club family aha.. >< (just recently become moderator~~)

Last night went and had tea with one of the moderators... or the "CEO" (lol.) and yeah, it was nice. It was actually real random how it started...... but it was part of this year's theme and intitative of  like meeting new people and getting like involved/being active and taking a chance in meeting and getting to know new people? I am not sure if that made any sense but yeah... it's pretty awesome there ^^

Laziness and Whatnot Kicking In....

.... is the reason behind my uh, lack of updates and the general feeling of un-interestingness.. even though there has been some moments in which I said I would blog... but, yeah, I lost it! >.<

It is finally happening to me. I've read in a few of the blogs that I follow this happening to them. And now it's happening to me~

There has been some good news.. overdraft is down like SIGNIFICANTLY. To -$25... now, just have to NOT spend anything till payday this coming Friday 19th! ^_^

And the China/HK trip is getting closer and closer!!! Two weeks exactly!! :D I can't wait. Will be starting to pack next week, really (week of 23rd)! Yaay! ^.^

Something sort of random that I did today, created a blend from an episode of Gossip Girl for a theme header competition at Transcending Bliss Forum.

And, speaking Gossip Girl, I am one episode away from having watched every episode of Gossip Girl! Love that show<3 Love Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass! Blair is GORGEOUS and PRETTY and Chuck is, just, Chuck. Not bad looking as the (first) season progresses~ :]

So, really what is left of this month is:
~ a week of work (this week)
~ Boxing Day Sales (YUS! Shopping timee!!)
~ and finally, CHINA/HK!! :D

This past month or the last time since I have updated hasn't been totally exciting... just been me procrastinating tidying room (since moving back) and when I have been tidying, chucking and sorting stuff etc etc.. and yeah.... exciting stuff right there.

C's Birthday Dinner :)

Last night was my friend Chloe's birthday dinner at La Porchetta which was quite yum but I am definitely not a seafood-type person! Lol.. I got the Spaghetti Mariana and yup, not a big seafood fan~

It was out of that or the (classic and all-time favourite) Spaghetti Bolganaise.. but thought that would try something different and did, but not a big seafood fan *nod*

And had this Passionfruit-flavoured dessert but... the gelato tasted like nothing without the passionfruit-flavoured sauce.. I definitely do like the first and only other dessert I tried there, The Afterdinner Mint. Afterdinner Mint = yum!._<

The birthday dinner that my family and a family friend had for my brother was good too~ :) Although was a little sick of going out to dinner... we'd actually just gone to the same restaurant a couple of nights ago... definitely does get old and am craving home-cooked meals~

Haha.. not in New Zealand!~ Woo! 25 days!! ^_^ Yay I can't waaait!

Soo haven't updated for a week since I watched Camp Rock last Friday.. that was quite a while ago.... nothing exciting is happening at the moment other than work and payday this Friday! :D

This past week has just been work and moving my stuff back to West Auckland..... my room is still a mess from all the bags of stuff that I packed up... I guess a photo insert here would be appropriate... maybe next entry.

And then I will leave you with the (actual) exciting events that are coming up in the next three months? (lol...)

• Friend's Birthday Dinner and Clubbing :)
• Chinese Lantern Festival (its amazing how Albert Park is turned into this awesome array of displays and such. I love it.)
• FOB (and the chance/possibility to meet them..... hookups! n_n)
• The Veronicas/MetroStation (Veronicas = FINALLY! can't wait....!!)

I actually still have to get tickets to the latter two but still excited~ hopefully they don't sell out... this is all dependant on my pay on the 19th of this month... coz have to put in some money for rent for the last two weeks of Jan.... the woman that is going to be staying in my room is going to stay for only 7 weeks! Thought (wrongly, obviously) that she would be paying for the room even though she was going to be away..... well. Now it's cleared up.. she wanted to also stay one night in the room before her flight... um. No. I think without even paying.....

But anyways. This was going to be a short entry..kind of still but yes. Just thought that I would update~ :)

Cute Movies and Another Guilty Pleasure

The cute movie I am talking about is the Disney movie, Camp Rock. It is actually a cute movie! ^.^

Lots of cute and cheesy and fluffly moments! Haha... Yeah. It's an alright movie... I think I like it better than the High School Musical triology....

On another random and guilty pleasure note.... Britney's new album, Circus is actually pretty good..... but then again this is coming from a um, year-2000 Britney fan sooo.... it's not that bad is all I have to say, evidence. Though I have only heard like less than half of the songs.... so far, my favourite is Out From Under, lol. ;]

Anywho, haven't really been "spending up large" but the small 'breakfast'/'first-meal-of-the-day' purchases have been adding together.... to the sum of four hundred dollars!!! :O

I know... I am.... shocked. Ah yes, shocking news! Sigh. Oh well. Gotta restrain myself (which I did today when I went to Lynnmall! :D Restrained myself from buying this $5 necklace at Equip! I want it! Maybe next week....) till next friday! When I get bpaid a nice. huge. sum! =D I can't wait! :)

Next week is shopping day Thursay then... (before) my friend's 19th birthday dinner at La Porchetta! ^^ Their gelato is delicious! And so pretty! (might have to take a pic.... if I'm not feeling so self-conscious at myself for taking a picture of my food, lol).

I don't know how other people do it! I just get so! self-conscious like people, or even the people I'm with are looking at me (most probably) and/or are thinking what the hell! Also think its a very asian thing to do (mean no offence, a good thing! And just I think is typical of them :) ), I wish I had that asian-ness... don't think I'm asian enough :P

This entry has been sectioned for easy reading and well, actually just an easy entry for me. Coz I've wanted to blog but just not sure where to start and well, waited till now coz thought that there would be some photo-taking yesterday but there's not so oh well and yeah. And, end of the week is a good time to post and reflect and summarise :]

WORK

Work is good other than not being paid this week due to me forgetting to fill out and give timesheet to boss/finance department... T_T damnit, then realizing like after work and then going in the next day to see if I could... I couldn't =(

And from next week onwards I'll be working there everyday from 12.30 - 2.30 as opposed to just two days a week... and when I'm back in West Auckland, have to train in everyday.... it'll be like I'm going to uni! Heh... must be how its like for full-timers.... with the exception that I'll be only working two hours a day! xD

It's good. Gives me something to do since well, I can't get a new (retail?) job anyway coz of me going overseas in about a month (hmm... actually month~ four weeks!! ^.^) so yeah, this is good aand obviously I will be getting more money and hopefully paying off that damn overdraft finally. It was supposed to be like paid off um, on Thursday? My last allowance payment....? Yeah.. didn't happen -_-

UNI

I failed a paper.. It sucks, but oh well. That happens. =\ Actually got an F..... but hopefully I don't think it matters next year since I've changed like from an extended Chinese major to a double major (in Event Management).. Ahh, more work (probably?) and like more papers to pass.... well hopefully it is interesting and just realized that I never mentioned this change of plan. The paper descriptions I read seem interesting and have planned (really) small events and quite enjoyed it...... yeah, we'll see what I say this time next year. Quite proud of that small birthday celebration for a friend that I planned, but anyways, this is getting off-track..

Got results back yesterday and it was good and bad (this was just for the Chinese papers). I passed Chinese II but I failed the year-long Written Chinese paper... fcuk. Oh well. It's not the end of the world and like I said earlier, I don't think this affects my degree anymore as I don't think I need it anymore.. :] Got B- for Chinese II. Which I'm pretty happy about. My whole semester of (not-much, but much at the same time...?) study! :)

Still waiting back on a core paper, icomm. Not sure when will get those.. probably in the first week of December... hopefully earlier~

SOCIAL LIFE & FRIENDS

Social life has been alright this past two weeks, ever since I finished exams for the year. Been loved and visited by friends! ^^ That has been awesome. And hung out and caught up with a few others.. actually thinking back hasn't really been much but a lot in my book. :]

This week saw a movie with Sabrina. Went to see Saw V. Sabrina didn't think the traps/games were great.. "ametuer" in comparison to the previous ones, according to her. I thought that it was a pretty good movie, on par with the rest (but then realizing that I hadn't actually seen all of them and think even thought that was the fourth~ =_=) but yeah now thinking back, I do agree with her comment, specially in comparison to the limb torture one! AH! >_<

Also went to the beach with classmates after getting results back. That was good. The was sooo nice! Definitely gonna go again (maybe, hopefully more than once!) before I leave for HK/China!~~ :D Also got like the typical kiwi fish and chips for lunch and the girls had icecream.. that was nice. Had it at that Gelato and Sorbert shop.. think that was what it was called. Had Tiramisu flavoured icecream.. wanted Rum and Rasin (alcoholic! LOL XD) but they didn't have that flavour. Damnit. And then just laid on the beach for a while and soaking up the Vitamin D... when I got back, was feeling quite tired, maybe too much? Haha. It was great.

And speaking of alcoholic, met up with two friends, Chloe and Elaine after work on Thursday and well, ended up drinking at my place with some sushi that we made while watching some Home & Away~ ^^ It was nice. Quite excited about my friend's upcoming birthday dinner :) (plans haha.. but also means spending T_T)

• Friend's birthday dinner on the 5th.
• And also before that am planning on a shopping trip to get a new dress for that birthday :) with my gift vouchers that I got for my birthday but still haven't spent :P
• Possibly another class outing (lol) on the same day since I have like work and the birthday dinner later that nigth and it would just be poitnless to go back and so yeah, hopefully~
• CHINA/HK TRIP! - this is the most exciting and the one I cannot wait for!! Shopping, shopping and more shopping! Oh, and of course visiting and spending time with family and relatives. And also possibly improving my Chinese ;)

And there's probably other little spontaneous things along the way in the next five weeks :) Actually, there will definitely be some more. I'd like see some movies that are coming out like My Best Friend's Girl and possibly (yes, delayed, lol) Dark Knight too.. I hear it's $8 atm.... anyone keen? (That's living in the Auckland region haha) Oooh and karaoke again too!

And, lastly, which I wasn't going to mention but maybe (actually it is) mention more indepth at my LJ (if you would like it, email me and we'll see from there :)) is the love life. Virtually, nothing to mention and nonexistent! As the saying goes, you can't have everything and when I did have one, it was last semester and my grades weren't too hot... but this semester it wasn't too hot... actually FAILED! -__- but. Not the end of the world! That was a year-long paper and soo yeah... damnit. Maybe would of had a chance if I didn't like um, pretty much fail the last exam! D:

But yes. That is my life in the past two weeks and also semester. Not much excitement or drama (no drama is great, thanks!) but was a pretty social and good year for the academics~ =]

We shall see what next year/semester brings with my changed double degree of Event Management and Chinese. I have also signed up for Student Mentors and so that should add some spice to the mix of things :) Can't believe that another year is nearly over and will be going into the new year in another country! :D How exciting! =) Although wish we were going into the New Chinese New Year over there.... money! Hahahaha XD

I will follow this up with a list of my current favourites that you might like to check out...... tomorrow n_n

 Yeah that quote isn't exactly "moving" or like "insightful" but it's something that I probably will never find out.. oh well. Anyways....

Forever21.com - damn that site is like sooo cheap but postage is sooo expensive! Pretty much probably have to buy like 25 items just to make shipping worth it! We'll see when I have money again.... whenever that is >_>

But yes, there are some dresses and tops that I would love to add to my collection of clothing in which most of them I don't wear.. I need to throw out sell the clothes I don't wear but (some.) that I love and can't bear to part with.. T_T

One of my previous entries, I mentioned stuff that I wouldn't mind getting and in which I would get myself if I didn't get it hahaha.. well. My wishlist is complete haha.. air tickets to HK are nearly sorted and booked :) [although I have to fly back bout like two days earlier than my family coz of work... like 4 hours/2 days! Oh well.. least I didn't have to like miss out weeks of stuff! =) And this is just two days.. or really one because of the time differences..], remembered this notebook that I had that I said I was going to use to document my time in HK/China aaand yeah got my writing utensilies thanks to Mish! Lol XD (yeah, I'm weird, lol), but hey, saves me like $20 on getting it :P

During this holiday....  I am kind of hoping to learn how to make WP layouts (since I have like millions of time on my hands anyway!) and well.... it could happen... it may not. I'm not sure... depends on my motivation levels and if I do so, then will have to get hosting which I might like just use 100webspace ooor 110mb... we'll see.

Oooh and yes, yesterday I went shopping with my sister for boots on my mum's request (I didn't click on the reason till like much later during the shopping trip.. =_=) coz of the many walking we will be doing while in HK/China and yeah, they're great! I wanna get these other pairs too! I still like my Westfield vouchers from my birthday... thanks again sooo much for them!! Was saving them for the New Year's and/or Boxing Day sales lol... (don't look at me like that! I'll be able to get more stuff at that time! Yeah, that's possible~!) But, yes, the boots which I quite love and it was only $30! :D

I also wanna get a hairdryer and umm... handbag(s) from Farmers! They're like $40 each! D:

YAYYYYY!!!! My overdraft is going down! I am sooo happy. This end of year and actaully SEMESTER has actually been pretty great! Greatness all around... and now that just sounds cheesy, lol. >.<

Overdraft = now $116! YUS! :D

The next couple of weeks is going to be quite good too... well the next week anyways...

1. Getting exams back... fingers crossed I passed! ><
2. Some plans with Chinese Class (LOL, yes, we're that tight haha XD)

Ohhh and like today also like got reconnected with an old friend on FB! Facebook is great! Lol. That's now like two people finding me in a FB group lol... (the primary school I went to~)

Soo yeah, life has never been so great! :D I'm very happy. And ooohhh of course CHINA AND HK! YUS!! HAPPY! LIKE OMG!

Sooo pretty much there is quite a few things that I am looking forward that's coming up in the next month... like:

1. CHINA/HK! LIKE OH YEAH AND OMG!!!! YUS~ ^_^
2. My friend, Chloe's birthday dinner... birthdays  are always nice and good time to catch up! =)
3. Working! Yes... lol... I found out that I will be working till the week before I leave for China/HK! ^.^
4. And the above stuff, exam handback plans, etc etc.

I am like pretty happy and satisfied with life atm. :) And exaaaaams have finsihed! Yus! Finally!

Though one thing that hasn't really like "lifted off" is that NZ site... I'm too lazy to like tend to it... emailed a few sites in the hopes of a exchange but yeah... I dunno. I think I need more help. Heh.

Oooh and of course not like forgetting my little outing today, lol! It was actually quite interesting~ Like I stumbled onto this guy on Vulcan Lane, I think like doing this awesome and soo original painting! Sucks that I was like 30c short of $2 to try and get one through the raffle he was doing! :( The art was like soo great! Pretty great~ It's like apparently this technique from South Africa and like next to no one other than he does it!? It's pretty awesome! :)

Job-less By February?

I may be jobless in February of next year..... :( but least will have a job when i return? For like a week....

But nonetheless, guess it's back to job hunting again when I return..... not that it ever stopped! =_=

Soo yes, Veronicas are coming! March 03! YUS! I so want to go to the acoustic preshow with a Q&A and you get to leave with a signed photo!! (Not that, that is like great, okay, yeah it is lol, it's pretty awesome)

I have finished for 2008 in my first year of my BA in Chinese! :D

Feels.... pretty good! :D But.... now don't know what to do with my free time! Haha.. >.< I can't get a summer/christmas job because I'll be going to China/HK in about a month and so obviously won't be around for that summer period and yeah... anybody got a job that's only a month long and finishes around Christmas time?
Yeah.... nothingness now.. am planning to go down to Hamilton maybe... sometime this week probably end of the week/weekend since got work and that's (so far) the time that friends down there is free... hmm.. so yeah.. that's possibly in the works~ =)

And, that is all... all that is left now is the countdown to getting on a plane and going to the airport (lol, I dunno why I underlined it really and why its so um, exciting and great? /shrug) and going to China/HK!!!! :D

....have been spent sleeping, procrastinating and doing a very after midnight yesterday overdue icomm assingment!

Didn't do much other than venture out when I was hungry.... it was..... omg... I have a headache now and should actually sleep now since only had abour four hours..... D: have been up since like Thursday 11am ish.... and haven't slept... =\

Second all-nighter... but the first I had 10 minute naps!~ this time, nothing other than finally succumbing to sleep at 8am ish.... and then sleeping for abour 2-3 hours! Which didn't even feel like that much hours sleep.. just woke up and it was 5 minutes to 12!

Heh and got a call from my mum at 8am and was somewhat not really disorientated!

But yes, now I shall rest and sleep and then cram this weekend for, I think, the hardest exam of them all... -___-

Oooh and then at 12 pm Monday, I will be freeeeeee! ^_^ I can't wait. Good luck to people who still got exams. You can do it! :D

it just keeps getting better...

It just keeps getting better. This day. I just opened a letter from Work and Income (a sorta division and equivalent of tax company..) and it has something to do with my student allowance. I probably owe them money. T_T *sigh*

Like my life couldn't get any better.

The only upside to everything is the fact that I got paid like $600 which is my pay from working at my old work last week plus holiday pay.. that's the only highlight. *sigh*


And, y'know I don't know why I just seem to like gravitate towards updating this blog.. my public blog. =\

Hmm. Oh well. Well I just checked my blog stats and well, people visit so, there's a reason to keep updating.

And, this is pretty like personal.. hmmm...

I don't know eh. I wonder if this is going to come back and bite me on the ass. Well. I don't see any reason it would, I mean, I didn't exactly like pour my heart out and like mention specific details and names. Although I guess if like you really knew me, you'd probably have some or all of the idea of what and who I am talking about but... I don't think I have shared enough with one person (or maybe one or two, but I am hoping that they will not like mention it to other people and such.. =\ which I'm sure they won't..) and yeah..

So, yeah, as well as what I am currently dealing with/getting over/whatever, I have to also deal with like Studylink/Work&Income/Whoever wanting to take money away from me and accusing me of pretty much withholding money and (probably) information from them. -__-

I don't need this but I guess things just come at most convenient times~! (not. -_-)

Aaand, also there is actually like uni! T_T I just like don't feel in the mood to like study and like learn characters and remember characters. I think I have forgotten some.. =\ I haven't studied for like two weeks.

Oh and I failed a part of my Written Chinese exam. T_T *sigh*

Before all of this. Or this one specific thing. I thought that my life was pretty good. Nothing to complain about but it seems that once something bad happens, it seems your whole world is falling apart and is like against you. >_<

How I'm feeling atm:

Sigh. Why does my love life always like resemble some type of tv programme or soap opera? It's always like so complicated and I have finally or more like its realized that it's complicated. And it doesn't really have anything to do with me making it so. It just.... happens. =(

It sucks. I don't like it.

Atm. I'm embroiled in one (I'm not sure if "embroiled" is the right term, it just seemed right and fitting? /shrug, beats me if it actually does..). And seems oh-so-familiar. =\ Sigh. Soooo complicated! >_<

My friends pretty much know me as like the one whose love life is definitely not boring. There is pretty much always something happening. Nothing in Maggie's love life is boring..

Anyways. Something else I seem to have is patience. A lot of it I just found out. I just spent like the past hour or so helping my mum type a letter in Chinese using pinyin and omg! T_T Inside I was like dying! But I didn't let it show.. and yeah was really glad and relieved when it was over.

Maybe its this paitence that like is evident in my love life too...

Hmmm....

Well. I guess I will continue to like learn and make mistakes and learn from those mistakes and one day, I might finally get it right.

First Post And Other Stuff [Kawaiib3rry]

So. I have been meaning to start off this blog. But I didn't kind of know how to... I was intending to start it off with a little rant and reasoning of why it seems that I (and possibly other people) seem to ask friends how their love lives are.. but I couldn't think of any reasonings.

But anyways. I have good news to start off this blog! ^^
I am going to get paid about $600!!! I worked last week of my two week break ( which is still on atm, but not for too long =[ ). I got a call from my workmate and the Accounts/Payroll manager and she told me of the good news~! =]

Was sooo happy! =D

It's going to pay off my ($460) overdraft and I'm going to have money to spend!! Which I am going to save half of it~ ^^

So yes. Pretty happy. :)

I apologize for my lack of creativity and originality in my blog layout.. psp is being a bitch >_< and so that means no means of ummm.. well creativity or originality..

But I hope my blog content makes up for it....? :D
